The 4vets Urinary Non Struvite Veterinary Diet is a complete and specialized food for cats with urinary tract disorders. It supports the treatment of cystitis and the dissolution of struvite stones due to the reduced content of magnesium and the acidifying properties of the urine. Diet can be an element of prophylaxis after the disappearance of symptoms.
Recommendations:
It is advisable to consult a veterinarian before use. The diet is recommended for 5 to 12 weeks to dissolve struvite stones and up to 6 months to reduce reformation. The recommended daily dose is indicated in the table on the package. The cat should have constant access to fresh drinking water.

Cranberry - hippuric acid contained in the fruit has a bacteriostatic effect, furthermore the presence of proanthocyanidin, combining with the bacterial fimbria, inactivates the adhesins, thus preventing them from adhering to the cells of the epithelium of the urinary tract. Cranberry is effective in lowering the pH of the urine, which results in less bacterial growth in the bladder and urinary tract. Thanks to these properties, it supports the process of curing recurrent infections and chronic urinary tract infections in cats.
High quality protein - feed based on healthy animal protein sources: turkey and lamb. The limited supply of high-quality proteins covers the demand for exogenous amino acids, but at the same time does not cause their excessive catabolism and the formation of products that could disturb the functioning of the kidneys.
Salmon oil - Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids present in fish oil inhibit the formation of inflammatory mediators, improve kidney function, especially in older cats.
Dried brewer's yeast (source of prebiotics: mannan-oligosaccharides and β-glucans) - has a beneficial effect on the intestinal flora. Yeast has a high biological value and a high content of B vitamins, the deficiencies of which are responsible for the formation of calcium oxalate crystals.
DL-methionine - has urine acidifying properties that reduce the reformation of struvite stones. Struvite stones, i.e. ammonium-magnesium phosphate, are formed in urine with an alkaline pH. The substance is recommended for cats with recurrent lower urinary tract problems.
